Chicken Bacon Ranch Pita Wraps

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pita Wraps

If you want a delicious and flavorful twist on your normal wraps, this is the recipe for you. I love a good deli wrap but its normally wrapped in a tortilla. After you try this recipe, you will only want your wraps with pita bread. Thats exactly what my Husband said lol. When I made this recipe, he told me this was his first time ever tasting pita bread that is not fried. I had to think about when did he try fried pita bread and I realized he was talking about pita chips lol. Needless to say, you will love these wraps. The chicken and bacon take it to another level. Since my husband loves chicken thighs, thats what I used for this recipe. Feel free to use chicken breast if you are not a fan of chicken thighs. I used 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs.

Season the chicken thighs with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil, 1 package of Ranch Seasoning, 1 tbsp of paprika and 1 tbsp of garlic salt. Make sure each piece is fully coated with the seasoning.

Set aside and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes. While your chicken is marinating, cook 4-8 slices of bacon. I said 8 just in case you want 2 slices of bacon in each wrap but you probably only need 1 slice of bacon per wrap. Its your choice. Cook according to the package directions.

Add your chicken to an oil griddle pan and cook 3-5 minutes per side.

Once they have finished cooking on the griddle pan, add to a baking sheet and put the chicken in a 400 degree oven for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.

Once the chicken has rested for a few minutes, chop the chicken in pieces. Allowing the chicken to rest will allow the juices to stay reserved in the chicken and stay moist.

Add your pita bread to a microwave for 30 seconds. This will make the pita bread soft and easy to wrap. After you remove them from the microwave, spread 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing on the bottom of the pita bread.

Layer the pita bread with lettuce, pepper jack cheese, chicken thighs and bacon. Repeat until all of the pita breads are filled.

Wrap the bottom half of the pita bread in aluminum foil to hold them together.

Serve with chips or veggies and ENJOY!
