Protein Yogurt Bowl
Protein Yogurt Bowl
This is the year that I turn the big 4-0 and I told my fitness trainer that I would like to lose between 10-15 lbs before that time comes. Of course he said one word…….DIET and I immediately got sad LOL. I love food! Especially GOOD FOOD! So I knew this would be pretty tough for me. We have been working on healthy and delicious meal plans for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack time. Here is one of many breakfast items that I really love. You can get creative and include different fruits and toppings. Be sure to not go too crazy on the toppings since it could add extra sugar that you dont need. I have to be honest, I was never a fan of yogurt until recently. It has grown on me ALOT! I think it was mainly a texture thing more than flavor. For this bowl, I used Oikos no sugar added vanilla flavored yogurt. It is really good! Plus it packs alot of protein. For the granola, I used Kodiak Protein Packed Honey Oats………I could have just eaten this by itself, thats how good it is! For my fruit, I used strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, but feel free to use any of your favorite fruits. For my toppings, I used unsweetened organic coconut flakes and drizzle of honey. After eating this, I was full and satisfied. ENJOY!
