Seafood Boil w/turkey necks

Seafood Boil W/Turkey Necks

Seafood boils have gained so much popularity over the years! I love how different food items are being featured with the boils, eggs, noodles and turkey necks for some examples. I have tried it all but the turkey necks are my favorite addition. It takes on the flavors from the seafood and makes them taste even more delicious! You can buy raw or smoked turkey necks from your local grocery store. Fill a 12 qt pot about halfway with water and add 1 stick of butter.

Add 1/2 cup of your favorite crab boil seasoning and 1/3 cup of lemon pepper seasoning. Once the water starts to boil, add 1 lb of turkey necks.

Cook the turkey necks for about 1 1/2 hours or until they are tender.

Once the turkey necks are tender, add 1 lb of red potatoes, 6 small pieces of corn on the cob and 1 lb of smoked sausage.

Cover the pot with a lid and cook about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are soft. Remove the turkey necks, corn, sausage and potatoes from the pot and set aside.

Add 2 lbs of raw shrimp, 4 lbs of snow crab and 2 lbs of king crab and cook about 10 minutes or until the shrimp is fully cooked and set aside.

To make the butter sauce, add 3 stick of butter, 3 tbsp of minced garlic, 1/4 cup crab boil seasoning, 1/4 cup lemon pepper seasoning and 5-6 dashes of hot sauce and stir well.

Pour the sauce on top of the seafood, corn, sausage, potatoes and turkey necks. Save some of the butter sauce for dipping. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of paprika on top.

Serve with a salad for a complete meal. Serve and ENJOY!
