Lemon Pepper Wet Wings
Lemon Pepper Wet Wings
The top two flavors for chicken wings are buffalo and lemon pepper. Whenever you combine the two flavors, I promise, it is a masterpiece! You have the salty, spicy buttery flavor from the buffalo sauce and the lemony, peppery and tangy flavor from the lemon pepper. Your mouth is going to explode with flavor!!! For this recipe I used store bought buffalo sauce but you can make your own if you would like. You know I am all about whats the easiest. I used whole wings and cut the tips offs.
After your chicken is cut, add it to a bowl and use a paper towel to remove any excess water. You want your wings to get crispy. Once the wings are dry, season them with 2 tbsp cajun seasoning, 2 tbsp onion powder, 2 tbsp garlic powder and 1 tbsp paprika. Mix well and make sure each wing is fully coated with seasoning.
Add vegetable oil to a cast iron skillet. Once the oil is hot and has reached a temperature of 350 degrees, add the chicken wings 6-7 wings at a time, depending on how big your pan is. Do not over crowd the pan or your chicken wings will start to boil in the grease instead of frying.
Cook 12-14 minutes or until the wings are fully cooked and crispy. Add the cooked wings to a baking sheet to drain any excess grease.
Add the wings to a bowl and add 2 cups of Franks’ Red Hot Buffalo Sauce and 1 cup of Louisiana Hot Sauce. Toss well and make sure each wing is fully coated.
Top the wings with lemon pepper seasoning.
Serve with ranch, carrot sticks and celery sticks. ENJOY!
