Beef Stew

As soon as the first day of Fall come along, I bring out the hearty dishes. One of them is my delicious beef stew. It is rich, hearty and an overall feel good dish. This is another one-pot meal that can be cooked on the stove, using an insta-pot or in a crock pot. This recipe calls for stew beef meat that is already cut up for you. If you prefer to cut up your own beef meat, feel free, but the pre-cut one saves so much time. In a bowl, add 1 lb of cut beef meat.

Season the beef meat with 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper. Mix well and then add 1/4 cup of flour.

Using your hands, yes your hands will get dirty, mix the flour in the beef meat. Make sure each piece is fully coated with the flour. This will add a thickening aspect to the stew.

In a pot, add 2 tbsps of vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef meat.

Cook until the each piece of meat is brown. While your meat is browning in the pot, cut 1 green bell pepper and 1/2 white onion.

Once the beef meat has browned, add 1/3 cup of Worcestershire Sauce and 4 cups of beef broth to the pot.

After the 30-45 minutes is up, add 1 cup of baby carrots and 2 cups of diced potatoes. Stir and cover. Cook for additional 15-30 minutes.
