Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!! I wanted to make one of my favorite desserts today so that my Hubby didn’t have to go out and find me some lol! These strawberries are dipped in melted Ghirardelli milk chocolate and drizzled with melted white wafers. Feel free to add your favorite toppings to these! Fully wash 1 lb of fresh strawberries.
In a bowl, add 1 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil. The coconut oil helps the chocolate to harden and gives the chocolate a shiny coat.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave to 1 1/2 - 2 minutes or until fully melted.
Stir well using a rubber spatula.
While holding the leaves on the strawberry, fully dip each strawberry and then place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Add the dipped strawberries to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
In a separate bowl, add 1/3 cup of melting candy wafers and 1 tsp of coconut oil. Heat the candy wafers and coconut oil in the microwave for 1 1/2 minute or until fully melted.
Remove from the microwave oven and stir well.
Add to a piping bag or a zip lock bag and cut a tiny hole. Drizzle on top of the strawberries.
Drizzle the white melting wafers and any extra chocolate on top of the strawberries.
Serve and ENJOY! Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
