Spinach Dip
Spinach Dip
Spinach dip is one of my favorite dips! Whenever I see it on a restaurant menu, we always order it. Its creamy and cheesy goodness with fresh spinach. Most recipes cause for frozen spinach, but frozen spinach has alot of water that can change the flavor of the dip. If you use frozen spinach for this recipe, make sure you squeeze all of the water out. You could also add artichokes in this dip. In a saucepan, add 1 tsp of butter and 4 cups of fresh spinach. Cook for 5-8 minutes or until the spinach has shrunk in size.
Using kitchen shears, shred the spinach and cut into small pieces.
In a separate bowl, add 1 8oz package of cream cheese, 1/2 cup shredded parmesan, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and the shredded spinach.
Mix well and season with 1 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp of black pepper. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top it with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Put in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes.
To add a slight crust, put the oven on broil at 550 degrees and cook for 5 minutes. Serve with chips or bread and ENJOY!
