Buffalo Shrimp
Buffalo Shrimp
I know we are all so use to eating buffalo chicken but what about buffalo shrimp? I made these and instantly feel in love. They were so flavorful!!! The shrimp taste enhances the spicy tanginess from the buffalo sauce. For this recipe I used frozen XLarge size shrimp but you can use any size shrimp you prefer. Just make sure they are cleaned and deveined. After cleaning the shrimp, season it with 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tbsp of paprika and 1 tbsp of cajun seasoning. Make sure each shrimp is fully seasoned.
In a bowl, add 3 cup of flour and 2 tbsp of corn starch and season it with 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 1 tbsp of cajun seasoning and 1 tbsp of paprika and stir well.
In a separate bowl, add 2 eggs, a splash of water and 2 dashes of hot sauce and mix well.
Coat each shrimp in the egg batter then in the flour and cornstarch mixture. Make sure they are fully coated.
Add 2-3 cups of vegetable oil to a cast iron skillet and once the oil reaches the temperature of 350 degrees, add the shrimps. Cook them 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
In a pan, add 3 tbsp of butter and once the butter melts, add 1 cup of buffalo sauce and 5 dashes of hot sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes and stir well.
Pour the sauce on top of the shrimp and toss.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. To make it a complete meal, serve with fries and a veggie. Serve and ENJOY!
