Cinnamon Roll Pig In The Blankets

Cinnamon Roll Pig In The Blankets

Pig in the Blankets are my go-to any time we take a trip to our local donut shop! I wanted to make these but using a different dough instead of the normal yeast dough, so I decided to make them with cinnamon roll dough! These are perfection!!!! They are sweet, salty and savory little goodness!!! Did I mention how easy they are to make?!?!? Whenever I made these my Husband added cheese to his and he said they were even better with cheese inside. Whenever you make them, feel free to add cheese. They are topped with a sweet cream cheese drizzle. You could use the pre-cooked sausage links if you would like. I prefer to cook the sausage so that they stay juicy and flavorful on the inside. The pre-cooked ones tend to get a little dry. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to a pan. Once the oil is hot, add the sausage links and fully cook. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Open the container of Grands Cinnamon Rolls and set the icing to the side. Roll out each cinnamon roll and cut them in half.

Roll the cinnamon roll dough around each sausage link. Repeat until all of the sausages are rolled in the dough.

Add them to a 350 degree oven and cook for 23-25 minutes.

While the sausage links are cooking, pour the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls into a bowl. Add 1 tbsp of maple syrup to the icing and stir well.

Once the sausage links are cooked, remove from the oven and set aside.

Spread icing on top of each pig in the blanket.

Serve with extra icing for dipping. Serve and ENJOY!
