Creamy Beef Pasta
Creamy Beef Pasta
If you have been following me, you know I love a one pot meal, especially pasta! When I first started this blog, I posted my homemade Cheeseburger Macaroni dish and it went viral so I decided to recreate that dish and turn it up a notch. I promise, you and your family will love this recipe. Feel free to get creative with this dish and use ground turkey or ground chicken if you are not a fan a beef. It will still taste delicious! As a kid, Hamburger Helper was my go to meal to cook whenever my Mom did not feel like cooking. I perfected Hamburger Helper LOL. As I got older, I realized how it does not taste the same as when I was a kid. Not sure if it was because they changed some ingredients in it or my taste buds have evolved. Either way, I way it did not taste the same, so I made my own :). Start by fully cooking 1lb of ground beef.
Once the ground beef is fully cooked, drain the excess oil and add 1 tsp of cajun seasoning, 1/2 diced white onion and 1 tbsp of minced garlic.
Cook for about 5 minutes or until the onions are soft. Add 1 tbsp of tomato paste and stir it in well. The ground beef will turn a dark red color.
Add 1/3 cup of Worcestershire and 1 tsp of red pepper flakes to the ground beef and stir well.
Add 1 box of Rotini pasta and 4 cups of beef broth and stir.
Cover the pot and cook 15-18 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
Remove the lid and stir. Add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and stir well.
Season with salt and pepper (to taste). Serve with garlic bread and a salad for a complete meal. Serve and ENJOY!
